Founded in 1971
Libas began as a small, independently run business in Chicago, built on a passion for quality textiles and a commitment to service. As the company grew, it recognized the importance of being closer to the heart of the home furnishing industry and relocated its operations to Los Angeles, officially incorporating as Libas Ltd. in 1979.
Libas established its presence in the home décor market with the launch of its first all-silk collection in 1997—a milestone that defined the brand’s direction and expertise. Since then, the company has continuously expanded and refined its silk offerings, while also introducing a broader range of high-quality fabrics to meet the evolving needs of designers and decorators.

Known for combining premium materials with professional, dependable service, our fabrics are featured in fine-furnishing showrooms across the United States and trusted by industry professionals nationwide.

Unlike many suppliers, we maintain a large in-house inventory, allowing us to fulfill most orders immediately without the delays typically associated with importing.
